With the upcoming release of the ETS2 1.56 update, the developers are pleased to announce new cargoes coming to the game. Thanks to a collaboration with CZ LOKO, a renowned manufacturer of locomotives. This content will be added to both the Euro Truck Simulator 2 base game and as part of the Special Transport DLC.

The developers are very excited to welcome CZ LOKO to the world of Euro Truck Simulator 2. They would like to thank them for allowing them to bring their impressive locomotives into the game. Giving players the chance to haul them across Europe in true trucking style. This expansion not only adds variety but also enhances the realism of the simulation.
Standard Cargo Additions
In the base game, two new locomotives will be added: the MUV 75 and the EffiShunter 300. While these may not be the largest or heaviest machines you’ve encountered before, don’t underestimate them. Make sure your truck is well-prepared to handle the load. The MUV 75 tips the scales at over 14 tons, while the EffiShunter 300 weighs in at a hefty 36 tons. Delivering these cargoes will add a new challenge for even experienced drivers.
A New Heavyweight for Special Transport
The Special Transport DLC already features oversized cargoes such as the Articulated Hauler, a Large Reservoir Tank, a Giant Silo, and many more. Now, the roster is expanding with a true heavyweight—the EffiShunter 1000, a massive locomotive built by CZ LOKO.

Truckers will haul this behemoth on a lowbed trailer. Just how big is it? The total height (including the trailer) reaches an impressive 5.3 meters, with a length of 16 meters and a width of 3.1 meters. Navigating corners with the EffiShunter 1000 in tow will demand precision and nerves of steel. Your truck will need a powerful engine for this job—the locomotive alone weighs 80 tons, plus another 10 tons for the trailer, making for a total of 90 tons of pure challenge.
You’ll be able to deliver the EffiShunter 1000 along three routes: Berlin to Szczecin, Kassel to Hamburg, and Bremen to Travemünde. Each journey will be escorted by two escort vehicles to help ensure a safe trip from departure to delivery. Still, it’s up to you to avoid any mishaps and keep this stunning locomotive free from so much as a scratch.

Transporting the Future
Although the EffiShunter 300 and EffiShunter 1000 are inspired by real locomotive models. The developers recreated them based on CZ LOKO’s design concept to reflect the company’s vision for the future. This means you will get to transport machines that haven’t even entered real-world production yet!
Remember that if you want to haul this beauty of a cargo, you will need to own the Special Transport DLC. If you don’t have it yet, you can grab it anytime on Steam. When the 1.56 update rolls out, the EffiShunter 1000 will be added to the DLC for free. Stay tuned for more news about the 1.56 update, including the HS-Schoch pack expansion and new Schmitz Cargobull trailers.
