    ETS2 Coaches DLC:
    Bus Stations in Detail

The new ETS2 Coaches DLC is coming for Euro Truck Simulator 2. Many players are curious about how the passenger experience will work. The bus stations themselves are a big part of that experience. These locations will serve as the main hubs. Players will pick up and drop off passengers there. The team gave them special attention, preparing the game world for coaches.

Not every bus station you encounter was already in the game. In fact, many new stations are being added. This improves overall coverage across Europe. “We checked the station distribution and tried to cover as many blank spaces as possible. We also add coach stations to most of the main cities,” Dominik explains.

Sometimes map designers had already built custom stations. At other times, they had to improvise. They used small stops, similar to those that real-world coaches sometimes use. Of course, some stations stand out more than others. The developers aimed to recreate famous locations. “When possible, we tried to include a real-world landmark. A perfect example is Hunedoara in Romania,” Dominik adds.

    Complexity and Functionality

Kain, a Map designer, talks about the challenge. “Some custom stations will be harder to navigate than others. Our testers are making sure they are difficult, but not impossible. In some stations, you may find other vehicles already parked. This will be a rare occurrence, but it will add challenges.”

Beyond visuals, functionality has also been improved. “For the new prefabs, we researched regulations. We found out how much space is needed for coaches to maneuver. With smaller stops, players will have a truly different experience depending on where they are,” Dominik adds.

Future Updates and ETS2 Coaches DLC

The developers confirmed that map updates will be available to all. They won’t be exclusive to those who own the DLC. Any changes to the base map or existing map expansions will be available to all players. You do not need to own the Coaches DLC itself.

The work does not end with the release. As Dominik says, “We plan to support Coaches long-term. We will add new stations to future DLCs and reworks, as well as to the current base map.” This shows the commitment to this new expansion.

    Conclusion
