A new truck is now available in Euro Truck Simulator 2. Thanks to collaboration with DAF Trucks, the developers have introduced the DAF XF Electric as part of the game’s expanding electric fleet. It is already accessible via the Quick Jobs feature.
The DAF XF Electric belongs to DAF’s New Generation model line and features a fully electric PACCAR powertrain. In-game, it is offered in a 4×2 chassis via Quick Jobs and is powered by the PACCAR EX-D2 electric motor, fed from five battery packs totaling 525 kWh.
Its appearance is distinguished by a white-and-blue color scheme originally created by DAF Trucks. This design gives the vehicle a modern, distinctive look suited to its electric identity.

The cabin design includes a rear-side window and a foldable “cinema” passenger seat to improve visibility and safety on narrow European roads.

Transitioning to electric trucks in the virtual environment presents significant challenges. Traditional fuel stations cannot be simply converted into charging points without major structural updates.

Currently, the DAF XF Electric is limited to Quick Jobs with a maximum delivery range of 350 km. If the battery depletes mid-route, emergency recharging is offered at a fee. The developers believe users will enjoy its smooth performance, quiet drive, and advanced acceleration.
This update does not reset the in-game economy, so integration of the electrical truck into regular Quick Jobs may take time.
The development team thanks DAF Trucks for their cooperation in this release. For continued updates, follow ETS2 news via X/Twitter, Facebook, BlueSky, Instagram, and subscribe to the developer newsletter.
