In today’s blog, we want to give our #BestCommunityEver a sneak peek at the stunning Nordic Horizons DLC ETS2 expansion. Our assets and map designers have recreated the breathtaking fjords and majestic mountains that define this iconic region! Check out more on Euro Truck Simulator 2.

Fjords are long, narrow waterways carved by glaciers, filling U-shaped valleys with seawater. While they exist worldwide, Norway is famous for over 1,000 fjords, especially along the western and northern coasts.

The fjords are part of the Scandinavian Mountains, stretching along Norway and Sweden to the Arctic Ocean. Steep slopes and deep waters create dramatic, breathtaking landscapes defining Norway’s natural beauty.

The Scandinavian Mountains have over 141,000 named peaks, with Galdhøpiggen being the tallest at 2,469 m. Winters are harsh, but summers are mild even at the highest peaks.

Players exploring the Nordic Horizons map will visit Romsdalsfjorden, Innfjorden, Saltdalsfjorden, Skjerstadfjorden, and Trondheimsfjord with Trondheim, among many others.

Truckers will navigate narrow, winding routes through mountains, passing quiet villages and campsites, enjoying panoramic views. Bridges, tunnels, and ferries are common, making transport challenging and scenic.

Notable locations include Skutvik (coastal town with a ferry), Tresfjordbrua (Tresfjord Bridge), and Torrfjorden (Tennfloget Tunnel). Many more breathtaking destinations await!
