Developers announced the upcoming ATS Louisiana DLC for American Truck Simulator, bringing new custom depots and river-port content to the Pelican State. This preview highlights five additional custom depots — two river ports, a shipyard, a salt mine and a grain elevator — that players will haul to and from.
If you missed the first part of the showcase, see the original custom depots article on the developers’ blog or the news index for more previews. The earlier post details five custom depots; this article continues that tour.
River Ports — key logistics hubs

Developers modelled river ports to reflect real logistics nodes. The Port of Greater Baton Rouge appears as a busy interchange where river, rail and road meet. Truck routes link depots and terminals for continuous freight flow.
Lake & Shipyard Depots

Shipyard depots handle parts and heavy equipment. Truckers will deliver components for offshore work. These locations add variety to freight types and job flows.
Salt Mines & Grain Elevators

Salt mines and grain elevators diversify cargo. Grain elevators at the Mississippi mouth illustrate Louisiana’s trade role. Salt domes support local industries and create steady trucking jobs.
How this affects routes and gameplay
New depots introduce fresh route options across the map. Drivers will use major highways to reach ports, then enter custom depot areas for special loading tasks. Expect varied cargo types and new chains of delivery jobs. For guides and route tips, check our guides section.
Please note: all locations and assets are still in development and may change before release. To follow updates, add ATS Louisiana DLC to your Steam Wishlist and follow developers on official channels.
