Cruising Nordic Horizons: A New World of Trucks Event is Here!

Mark your calendars! On Thursday, November 27th, the launch of the Nordic Horizons DLC will be celebrated with a brand-new World of Trucks event: Cruising Nordic Horizons. Embark on a journey across Scandinavia’s Arctic frontier, where dramatic fjords and winding rivers shape a land of raw beauty.

The Community Challenge

The Cruising Nordic Horizons event challenges the #BestCommunityEver to achieve a collective goal of driving 300,000,000 km (186,411,358 miles) while delivering cargo to or from any city within the Nordic Horizons DLC.

Explore rugged coastlines, winding rural roads, and lively northern towns while #CruisingNordicHorizons. From sunlit summer nights to landscapes steeped in history and tradition, this region offers truckers unforgettable routes and breathtaking vistas on the job.

Discover the Arctic Frontier

The north of Scandinavia has evolved from traditional roots into a region of growing economic importance. Truckers play a vital role in connecting remote communities and sustaining economic growth across diverse industries like renewable energy, mining, shipping, and tourism.

As you travel through the far north, look forward to spectacular regional highlights, including:

• Tromsø, known as the “Gateway to the Arctic,” with its lively culture and northern lights views.
• The Lofoten Islands, offering dramatic coastlines, fishing villages, and stunning scenery.
• Rovaniemi, the capital of Finnish Lapland and the official home of Santa Claus.
• Nordkapp, where you can stand at the edge of Europe beneath the midnight sun.

How to Participate and Earn Rewards

Take on the adventurous challenge to tour and visit the 41 beautiful cities on offer. The event features both personal and community goals with unique rewards.

Personal Goal

Complete at least 1 delivery to or from 6 unique cities in each of the 3 countries featured in the Nordic Horizons DLC (Norway, Sweden, and Finland). This means a total of 18 unique cities.

Personal Reward: A World of Trucks Achievement and the beautiful “Northern Tides” paint job for your truck.

Community Goal

The entire community must drive 300 million kilometers while delivering cargo to or from any Nordic Horizons city.

Community Reward: A striking Viking Helmet dashboard ornament. To qualify, you must also complete your personal goal.

Event Rules Summary

• Use External Contracts or External Market with a World of Trucks-connected ETS2 profile.
• All jobs must be at least 150 km in length.
• You can track your progress in your World of Trucks Log Book.
• The Cruising Nordic Horizons event concludes on Sunday, February 1st, at 23:59 UTC.

Rewards are Steam inventory items for Euro Truck Simulator 2. Claim them from the Events page on your World of Trucks profile after completion.
