Meet the Team Building the American Truck Simulator British Columbia DLC
Development of the British Columbia DLC for American Truck Simulator is in full swing. Before the first previews arrive, players can meet the talented team behind this landmark expansion—the first to bring truckers into Canada.
A dedicated team of 14 map designers is crafting this new frontier, marking a significant shift from the bayous of their previous project, Louisiana. This blog introduces the people tasked with bringing the vast landscapes of the British Columbia DLC to life.
Map DLC Lead: Davido

“I have held several positions in the gaming industry, from testing to design to leadership. Our team has collaborated on diverse projects before, but the British Columbia DLC is our largest and most ambitious undertaking. For the first time, we’re entering a completely new region with many differences. My task is to lead this talented group and piece together the next masterpiece for the ATS world.”
Senior Designer & Nature Specialist: Vopi

“With around seven years at SCS Software, I’ve worked on several DLCs, typically focusing on landscaping and custom depots. I have a soft spot for the Pacific Northwest, so I’m thrilled to work on British Columbia. After visiting the province last year, I fell in love with its wild beauty, which we hope to recreate authentically for players.”
City & Custom Depot Expert: Vojta

“My first DLC was Colorado, and since then I’ve contributed to many expansions, including Arkansas and Louisiana. My main focus is large cities and custom depots like river ports. After New Orleans, I’m tackling Vancouver and Victoria. The mountains and vast forests of British Columbia present exciting new challenges.”
City Designer & Rock Specialist: Terka

“Following my work on Louisiana, our team is shifting to Canada’s first province. With over two years of experience, I’m excited to work on a major city and roads in southern BC. I’ve also gained a new specialization: creating the rocks and formations that define this mountainous region.”
Experienced Map Designer: Jáno

“I’ve been a map designer at SCS for four years, working on projects from the California Rework to Louisiana. Each expansion brought something new. The upcoming British Columbia DLC promises stunning roads, mountains, lakes, and endless forests waiting for players to explore.”
Junior Designer Embracing New Challenges: Tereza

“After over a year at SCS and completing Louisiana, British Columbia is my second project. I’m building three rural cities on the east side of the region. It’s a big challenge as my first city-building experience, but I’m excited to learn and contribute to this beautiful DLC.”
Island & Cinematics Designer: Eliška

“British Columbia is my second DLC after Louisiana. I’m working on cities, roads, and ferry connections on one of BC’s islands. I’m also responsible for all the cutscenes in this DLC. I particularly enjoy creating beautiful lakes and sharing these stunning places with players.”
Scenery & Custom Depots Designer: Lukáš

“I’ve been with SCS for almost four years, working on Montana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. I look forward to bringing British Columbia’s stunning scenery into the game. My area contains ‘a few princes,’ and I’ll also join the custom depots team to reflect the region’s diverse economy.”
City Designer: Rayn

“Approaching my two-year mark at SCS, I’m hyped to enter British Columbia as a map designer. The mountains, rivers, and countryside are breathtaking. I’m tasked with creating two gorgeous cities, which will be a challenging and exciting experience.”
Road & First-City Designer: Altie

“After working on Louisiana’s wetlands, we’re moving to the mountains and lakes of British Columbia. I’m currently focusing on roads and will soon start on my first city. I’m grateful to work alongside such amazing and talented people at SCS.”
