    This introduction focuses on the core project team and the vehicle artists. The Road Trip expansion is a massive undertaking involving many other departments, including game design and physics programming. A future “Under the Hood” blog will dive deeper into their crucial work.

    “Road Trip was assigned to me after I moved to the general producers department. It’s a big challenge involving practically the entire company. I’m part of a great team that can deal with everything that comes our way. I’m looking forward to the possibilities it will bring to the entire SCS in the future.”

    “My role was to implement new triggers and Road Trip-specific gas stations into the map. We tested various approaches in Oregon and Washington to find the right compromise for gas station and discovery trigger density.”

    Martin – Senior 3D Vehicle Artist

    “I helped select vehicles for the project and enjoyed researching historic materials. I hope players enjoy driving in the 1967 Ford Mustang, on which I spent a lot of time. It’s as if SCS created this project for me as a reward.”

    Daniel – Vehicle Technical Leader

    “I am responsible for how car models are integrated into the engine. I particularly enjoyed working on improved vehicle interior materials to better reflect real-world materials, which I initiated as part of this project.”

    “As a 3D Senior Artist, I currently have the privilege of creating my dream car, the Dodge Viper GTS. I believe that Road Trip will be a successful add-on where everyone can choose their dream car.”

    “I am working on the 2006 Ford Crown Victoria for the Ford Car Pack. Since I have worked exclusively on truck models so far, modeling cars is a pleasant change, and as a graphic designer, I am gaining new experience.”

    Lukáš – Senior 3D Vehicle Artist

    “I was responsible for creating the complete 3D model of the Ford F-150. 3D scanning allowed me to personally meet vehicle owners and gain many interesting insights. I’m excited about offering players a completely different experience.”

    “I modeled the 1970 Dodge Charger and 2023 Dodge Challenger. My favorite part was creating textures and materials for the interiors. I hope players enjoy exploring the States in these cars as much as I enjoyed making them.”

    Renju – Senior 3D Vehicle Artist

    “I have worked on the RAM 1500 and the Ford Bronco. I’m eager to see how players will react to the incredible details. What I enjoy the most is that we are able to work on both the most modern cars and some classic cars as well.”
