The ongoing Benelux Rework for Euro Truck Simulator 2 brings a fresh look to the Netherlands. This preview focuses on Eindhoven, a city with a strong industrial identity and deep ties to the legendary truck manufacturer DAF Trucks.

As part of the rework, Eindhoven in the Euro Truck Simulator 2 Benelux Rework Eindhoven is being introduced as a brand-new city to the game. Map designers have worked to capture its modern character, distinctive architecture, and key road connections from the ground up. The result is a detailed and immersive addition that meets contemporary ETS2 standards.

Iconic Eindhoven Landmarks

Drivers will recognize several of Eindhoven’s most famous locations. One is the Lichtnaald sculpture, standing proudly over a roundabout with the iconic Evoluon building in the background. With its unmistakable UFO-like shape, the Evoluon is a city landmark, and its unique silhouette is now part of the game’s skyline.

Another key location is Floraplein, an important urban junction in the city’s road network. This area has been carefully reworked to better reflect its real-world layout, making the city feel more natural and believable during deliveries.

A Special Collaboration: The DAF Trucks Factory

The Benelux Rework for Euro Truck Simulator 2 presented a unique opportunity. During work on Eindhoven, a collaboration with DAF Trucks brought a recreation of their Eindhoven factory and facility into the game. As the home of DAF, this location holds great significance for the city and truck enthusiasts worldwide.

Due to real-world constraints and the need to respect certain boundaries, some parts of the premises could not be documented in full detail. The in-game version is a carefully crafted interpretation, created in close cooperation with DAF. The focus was on conveying the character and identity of the area while ensuring necessary privacy.
