A Community Collaboration Brings Authenticity

During preparations for Road Trip, the development team reached out to the community. They asked if anyone owned vehicles featured in the project. This would allow authentic reference material capture and real-world sound recording.

Marcel, a community member from Germany, responded generously. He offered the team the opportunity to examine his vehicle in person. This collaboration ensures the Ford Crown Victoria Road Trip integration will be as authentic as possible.

The Legendary Ford Crown Victoria P71

Marcel proudly owns a Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor. This ex-supervisor police car still carries unmistakable details that made this model memorable. For decades, the Crown Victoria defined the American police car aesthetic. It was equally recognizable as the classic yellow taxi on city streets.

Its unmistakable silhouette and presence became familiar in everyday life. The vehicle also appeared in countless movies and television shows. This cultural significance makes its addition to the game particularly special.

Thanks to Marcel’s enthusiasm and help, the team recorded authentic audio. They captured the unique sound character of the Crown Victoria. These recordings will play an important role as work continues on the Road Trip project.
