SCS On The Road: Up Close with a 1969 Dodge Charger in Czechia

We’re back with a brand new episode of the SCS On The Road series. Last year, the team had the privilege of visiting Veteráni na Truc, a local Czech company. They specialise in importing, selling, and servicing heritage and classic cars, as well as American vehicles, in Czechia. The team had the opportunity to get up close to some truly iconic machines, including the legendary 1969 Dodge Charger.

A Legendary American Muscle Car

The Dodge Charger is an iconic American muscle car. It is instantly recognisable thanks to its bold fastback design and unmistakable road presence. Powered by a range of legendary V8 engines, this classic car has become a symbol of raw performance. It has left a lasting mark on both automotive history and popular culture. For the team to see one up close in their home country was something quite special. They couldn’t leave without taking time for a walk-around of this legend and sharing it with the community.

The team extends a big thank you to the brothers Ondřej and Jiří Truc, Jan Lancinger, and the fantastic team at Veteráni na Truc. They welcomed the crew, shared their stories, and allowed recording for this episode. What started as a family passion has grown into a well-known Czech specialist in classic, heritage, and American cars. They have a strong focus on preserving automotive history, much of which you’ll hear about in this episode.

There was important work to be done too. The team spent time capturing valuable reference material, including video footage and authentic vehicle sounds from their collection. These recordings are for the upcoming American Truck Simulator Road Trip DLC. The 1969 Dodge Charger Road Trip integration will feature authentic audio captured during this visit.
