As the development of the upcoming Coaches DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2 progresses, the team at SCS Software is excited to share some new vehicle features. Let’s dive into these enhancements!

Highlighting Distinct Vehicle Features

Coaches incorporate several vehicle features that are not found in trucks. Our developers have worked diligently to design authentic systems for the Coaches, aiming to elevate the driving experience and create a more immersive journey for players upon release.

One exciting addition is the destination display panel located at the top of the windshield. This feature shows the coach’s ultimate destination and is removable, allowing players to choose its use. It is also visible from inside the coach. We’ve meticulously adjusted its design, covering aspects such as text length, color, and appearance to ensure it complements various destinations.

Enhanced Visibility and Convenience

Coaches are characterized by their larger windshields, which present unique challenges for drivers, especially regarding sunlight. To tackle this, we’ve introduced adjustable sun visors. These visors can be operated separately on the left and right sides, enabling players to position them as needed. The functionality is enhanced with animated controls and sound effects, visible from outside the vehicle as well.

To assist drivers in managing visibility, we have included rear-view cameras common in modern coaches. This integration presents a live feed directly on the dashboard, automatically activating when the vehicle is in reverse. This feature promises to be particularly helpful in various driving scenarios.

Interior Comfort and Illumination

The Coaches will also feature improved interior lighting options for enhanced comfort during trips. The ambient lighting can be customized to any color according to the passengers’ preferences. Additionally, there’s a main ceiling light that can be switched off or on, particularly useful during nighttime stops for picking up or dropping off passengers.
