In today’s blog, SCS Software is thrilled to introduce a new gameplay feature in American Truck Simulator: the Road Trip Atlas. This tool enhances your exploration experience and guides players on an amazing journey!
Exploration Awaits with the Road Trip Atlas
Curious about what new gameplay experiences await in Road Trip? The Road Trip Atlas is designed to inspire players to discover, visit, and learn about various locations in the American Truck Simulator world. As you explore, you may encounter famous landmarks or hidden gems, gaining insight into their history!
You can access the Atlas interface directly from your in-game desktop under the Navigation tab. At its core, the Atlas features Tourist Boards scattered across the game map. By selecting a Tourist Board in the Atlas, players are directed to the board via GPS, unveiling several exploration locations.
Transform Your Road Trip Experience
Your goal is to visit and explore all locations linked to the Tourist Board, including Points of Interest, Viewpoints, and Photo Trophies. Points of Interest can be marked simply by driving through them, enhancing your journey.
Whenever you explore a new location, an on-screen widget will notify you, marking it as explored. This feature provides exciting insights about the places you’ve visited, enriching your experience in American Truck Simulator.
Unlock Rewards and More
Once you explore every location related to a Tourist Board, it will be marked complete. As a reward, players will receive a unique postcard based on the region explored. This postcard can be displayed on your vehicle’s dashboard for added personalization.
This feature will be available for players with any Road Trip DLC, including the Ford Car Pack and the RAM & Dodge Car Pack. Notably, you can enjoy Atlas while driving both cars and trucks!
Adventure Awaits in New Locations
The Atlas feature will be implemented in states like California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and South Dakota. Expect gradual expansion to more areas, enabling even more adventures for players.
