Illinois DLC Custom Depots: New Industries Await
In today’s blog, the team at SCS Software wants to show you the custom depots and completely new companies in the upcoming Illinois DLC for American Truck Simulator. Let’s take a look.

Illinois DLC Custom Depots: Manufacturing and Industry
Illinois has one of the most diverse economies in the United States. The state has a long history of manufacturing. It produces a wide range of goods. Illinois is also a major producer of non-electrical machinery. This includes industrial and construction equipment. These are among its most important export industries.
The team wanted to reflect the real world when choosing depots. You will see representations of these industries in newly created companies. Established custom depots also showcase them. One example is Antlion, a large construction machinery factory in Peoria. You can take vehicles straight from the production line. Deliver them to the new dealer, GroundBreaker, in Quincy.

Boat Transport at Aqua Vista Marinas
If you are a fan of boats, you are in for a treat. Lake Michigan is a popular recreation spot in the state. You will be able to transport boats to or from new Aqua Vista marinas. These are located in Marion and Chicago. You can also use the established Rock Port logistics company in Peoria. The Illinois DLC custom depots include these unique maritime facilities.

Chicago International Airport Cargo Terminal
The team could not forget about Chicago International Airport. It is one of the busiest airports in the whole world. In the game, it is represented by a landmark cargo terminal. It has been carefully recreated to match the real one. Players can load cargo onto aircraft there. The area also includes a fuel station. You can transport jet fuel to this location. You will also be able to deliver cargo straight into a massive ULTIMUS transport plane.

Underground Warehouses: UnderCity and Terrastore
In the Missouri DLC, the team introduced underground warehouses. They offer an unusual experience of transporting cargo below the surface. Following that, you will find the new UnderCity storage in Chicago. It is a big underground depot for storing a wide range of products. Another one can be found near Quincy. It is a branch of the Terrastore company. You are already familiar with Terrastore from Missouri.

Agriculture and Farming in Illinois DLC Custom Depots
Agriculture is just as important to the state as manufacturing. Illinois is home to around 75,000 farms. They cover nearly three-quarters of its land. Farmers produce large amounts of soybeans, corn, and dairy products. They also raise pigs and cattle. This helps supply food across the U.S. and around the world. That is why you will find plenty of custom depot farms. They are located around Marion, Champaign, Rockford, and Effingham.

Grain Elevators: Flavorfair Depots
Alongside these farms, you will also come across large Flavorfair grain elevator custom depots. They are located in East St. Louis and Quincy. These facilities play an important role in the agricultural supply chain. They collect and store grain from nearby farms. The grain is then transported onward for processing or distribution.

Quarries and Timber Operations
That is not all. If you are looking to haul something a bit heavier, check out the quarries around Chicago and Rockford. You can also head to the custom timber harvest depot near Marion. Logging operations keep a steady supply of timber ready for transport.
