Located in the southeastern corner of South Dakota, Sioux Falls is the state’s biggest city. Built around the Big Sioux River, it has transformed from a historic settlement into a vibrant Midwestern city. Our map team has beautifully recreated many attractions that make Sioux Falls recognizable. Drivers have plenty to discover as they navigate the city.
Upon entering the city, players will see the “Welcome to Sioux Falls” sign. No visit is complete without a stop at Falls Park, the location of the city’s iconic waterfalls. These cascading falls on the Big Sioux River inspired the city’s name and are a top attraction in South Dakota.
Urban Charms and Historic Landmarks
As you head Downtown, Sioux Falls is filled with historic architecture, modern establishments, and lively streets. Look for the beautifully restored Minnehaha County Courthouse, a stunning quartzite structure standing proudly for over a century. Nearby is the local bus station, featuring a vibrant mural celebrating the city’s artistic culture.
Amidst the city, various local landmarks include the Arc of Dreams sculpture and Fawick Park. The USS South Dakota Battleship Memorial serves as a tribute to the famous WWII battleship’s crew. This memorial showcases one of the original main gun barrels and honors those who served on the vessel.
