Today, we are excited to share great news with our #BestCommunityEver! With the forthcoming 1.61 update, the improved material system will be introduced to three additional trucks. Read on to find out more!
Expansion of Improved Material System
The improved material system was initially introduced with the 1.60 update. This update added it to the DAF NGD and MAN TG3 TGX in Euro Truck Simulator 2. It was also implemented in the Mack Anthem and Western Star 49X in American Truck Simulator. With the upcoming update, this feature will expand to the International LT and International LoneStar in American Truck Simulator, along with the Volvo FH Series 6 in Euro Truck Simulator 2!

Interior Enhancements
But the updates don’t stop here. The developers have polished several details in the interiors. They also redesigned the seats in the International LT and LoneStar to better match their real-life counterparts. Additionally, a new Diamond interior option featuring leather seats is introduced for both trucks!

The improved material system greatly enhances the lighting and visual quality within vehicle interiors. This system focuses on how various interior materials react to light. It results in a more detailed and visually pleasing cabin environment. Differences between materials such as leather, fabric, plastic, and metal become much more apparent, even in low-light conditions.
More Trucks, Better Interiors
As promised, the developers are gradually rolling out this feature across more trucks. This will allow players to enjoy beautiful cabin interiors on a wider range of vehicles. If you wish to learn more about implementing this feature in new vehicles, check out our Under the Hood blog. We discussed this topic with colleagues working on the improved material system.
We are confident that players will appreciate the improved cabin interiors in more trucks with this upcoming update!
