    It is exciting when something you have been working on for quite some time is finally done. Today is the day. The long-awaited Illinois DLC for American Truck Simulator is ready to welcome its first truckers.

    The Illinois DLC released announcement is here. It is now available on Steam.

    The team announced Illinois in February 2025. Since then, asset and map designers have done amazing work. They brought it to life for the #BestCommunityEver. Over the past year, the team shared updates on this DLC. They saw amazing feedback and excitement about this map expansion. Today, drivers can finally explore it. There is so much to discover.

    From vibrant cities like Chicago to breathtaking landscapes shaped by the Mississippi River, there is no shortage of new locations to explore. Winding past picturesque towns, drivers will find plenty to discover. If you own some of the already released DLCs, you can now travel the full length of the legendary Route 66. The Illinois DLC released completes this historic highway.

    Release Live Stream

    Do not forget about the special Release Live Stream. It starts today at 3 pm CEST. The team will introduce special guests, including the CEO of SCS Software, Pavel Šebor. He will tell you more about this new map expansion while the team drives through Illinois. Towards the end of the live stream, the Illinois DLC will be officially released together.
